My Hero Academia Voice Actor Defends Minoru Mineta

Minoru Mineta has always been one of the most polarizing characters in My Hero Academia. Throughout the series, his constant inappropriate comments and lack of boundaries have made him a frequent target for fan criticism. Even with the manga and anime now finished, the debate over his behavior is still going strong.

Brina Palencia, the English voice actor for the character, recently spoke up about the intense backlash. She believes that many fans forget a key detail when they judge his actions. She pointed out that he is only a teenager, and his behavior reflects his youth.

While his actions are often uncomfortable for viewers, Palencia suggests that his age should play a part in how fans evaluate him. Her take brings a fresh perspective to the long standing conversation about why Mineta acts the way he does in the series.
