Dune: Awakening Confirms Crossplay and Huge Blood and Ice Expansion

Funcom just shared some big updates for Dune: Awakening that every survival fan should know. The most exciting news is that full crossplay is officially arriving in January 2027. This means players on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox can finally team up and explore Arrakis together.

Before the crossplay update hits, a free expansion called Blood and Ice will launch on December 1, 2026. This update introduces a brand new survival region and provides about 35 hours of extra progression. It is a great way to stay busy while waiting for the ability to play with friends on other platforms.

Even though the expansion and crossplay are coming out separately, they both bring a lot of value to the game. Being able to join friends regardless of their console is a major request from the community. It is exciting to see the developer focus on bringing everyone together in one big experience.
