BlizzCon 2026 gave fans a close look at World of Warcraft Forever during a detailed panel session. The presentation focused on new features and class changes coming to the third pillar of the MMO later this year. Developers highlighted how player interactions and community building will shape the core experience.

One of the biggest updates involves campsites, which replace traditional campfires. Players can now customize campsites based on their professions to give helpful buffs to strangers and friends. Professions are receiving a massive overhaul with hundreds of new recipes. Transmogrification is also arriving at launch, but players who want a pure visual experience can disable it for themselves and others.

Leveling up alternative characters is getting a boost through the new account wide Legacy System. Players earn points by exploring and clearing dungeons, which can then be spent in three talent trees focused on professions, adventure, and resourcefulness. Servers are also dropping traditional realms in favor of playstyle choices like PVP, Roleplay, and Normal modes.

Combat and itemization will stay true to the classic feel with slower, tactical dungeons and distinct classes. Hit chance and weapon skills are being streamlined, while healers gain better self sufficiency for solo leveling. These changes aim to give fans both modern conveniences and a traditional playstyle.
