Reports indicate the studio Rebel Wolves managed the game with a budget of 40 million dollars. The director actually self funded the entire first year of development himself. This kept the vision alive before the studio grew into the powerhouse of 160 developers we see today.
Rebel Wolves was founded by several former CD Projekt developers, including the talent behind The Witcher 3. Their experience helped turn a humble prototype into the major hit players are enjoying now. It is a massive success for the Polish studio and sets a high bar for their future projects.
