Tank Chair Episode 4 Misses the Mark With Lackluster Fights
The latest episode of Tank Chair leaves fans wanting more as highly anticipated battles end abruptly.
★ 6.8manhwa.newsTank Chair Episode 4 picks up immediately after the previous cliffhanger, pitting Touko against Nagi and his Tank Chair Mark III. While the opening moments feature a tense exchange with Touko using her extendable fists, the fight quickly loses momentum. It feels like a missed opportunity, as the battle concludes far too early and lacks the intensity fans expected from such a hyped encounter.
Things do not improve much when Naozumi steps in to fight. He reveals a grotesque, squid like monster form powered by a brain parasite called a Migraine Mollusk. This transformation allows him to hide his killing intent, which puts Nagi at a temporary disadvantage. Unfortunately, the animation quality for this form suffers due to a clunky 3D model that breaks the immersion of the scene.
The conflict wraps up with Nagi landing a single, heavy punch to end the fight, mirroring the underwhelming conclusion of his battle with Touko. Despite the disappointment in the action sequences, the episode does offer some character development. A quiet, wholesome moment between Nagi and Shizuka highlights their sibling bond, and the introduction of a dangerous new character known as Sensei raises the stakes for the future.
While this episode leaves much to be desired, it sets the stage for a new threat. We will have to wait for the next installment to see if the series can regain the excitement of its earlier episodes.
