Alongside those hardware numbers, the company reported a massive 58.17 million in software sales for the new console, proving that fans are already picking up plenty of games for the system.

The original Nintendo Switch remains a total legend in the gaming space. It has officially hit 156.59 million units shipped. This achievement keeps the original console firmly on the list of the best selling hardware in history, showing that it still has a dedicated fan base even with the newer model now available.
