Monster Hunter World Likely Won't Come to Nintendo Switch 2
Capcom explains why their hit game would need a total remake to run on the new Nintendo hardware.
manhwa.newsFans hoping to see Monster Hunter World on the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 might be disappointed. Series producer Ryozo Tsujimoto recently spoke about the technical hurdles keeping the game off the platform. Even though other big Capcom titles have made the jump to Nintendo consoles, this specific game faces major challenges.
The core issue lies in the engine used for Monster Hunter World. Tsujimoto clarified that porting the game is not a simple task. Because of how the game was built, the team would have to completely remake the title from the ground up to make it run properly on the new hardware. This makes a direct port impossible.
While this news might be a letdown, fans still have plenty to look forward to. Capcom recently confirmed that the next entry, Monster Hunter Wilds, is headed to the new Nintendo system. Even without a World port, the future of the franchise on Nintendo remains bright.
