Guild Wars Afterlife DLC Brings Mesoamerican Magic to Tyria

Big news for fans of the classic MMO. ArenaNet and 2weeks are launching Guild Wars Afterlife on January 13, 2027. This marks the first major DLC for the title in twenty years. The expansion is coming to PC, Steam, iOS, and Android.

The story takes players into the Mists of Tyria to discover the land of Xotecha. You will join the Order of Moonless Night to stop a threat from the Cult of Odran. The setting draws heavy inspiration from Mesoamerican mythology, featuring jungles, ancient ruins, and sacred cenotes.

A highlight of this release is the Unformed, a new dungeon that changes every time you play. It uses a skill drafting system that lets you choose abilities from different professions after each encounter. This allows for wild, creative character builds that were not possible before.
