Gamescom 2026 Smashes Attendance Records With 368,000 Fans

Gamescom has just wrapped up another massive year in Cologne, setting a brand new attendance record. The massive event pulled in 368,000 visitors from 131 different countries. This marks a six percent jump in international visitors compared to last year, proving that the giant gaming gathering is growing faster than ever.

Alongside the huge public turnout, the event also drew over 36,000 trade visitors from all around the globe. International professionals made up more than half of that business crowd. Beyond the physical convention floor, the digital side was just as huge with around 624 million online views across all broadcasts and streams.

For gaming fans, these numbers mean the convention is bigger and more important than ever for major reveals and announcements. With record breaking crowds both online and in person, next year's event is sure to bring even bigger surprises for the gaming community.
