Wuthering Waves 3.7 Shines Brightest Through Side Characters

Wuthering Waves update 3.7, titled Prism's Illusion, Heart's Illumination, wraps up the Xuanfang Arc by focusing on the absent guardian, Sentinel Hsin. Kuro Games billed this update as a major finale, but fans might notice it lacks the massive battles and sprawling clashes seen in previous arcs. Instead, the story keeps its focus almost entirely on Hsin and her personal struggles to protect the region.

While the main quest delivers plenty of emotional moments as Rover uncovers Hsin's past, the true standout storytelling happens just outside the main path. After finishing the main quest, players unlock a side story introducing Hsin's Resonator. This hidden gem crafts a cohesive and emotional narrative that easily outshines parts of the main quest, proving that side content deserves just as much attention.

Another scene stealer is Souming, the multi century old Intendent of Sentinel Affairs. Her authoritative presence and intriguing backstory leave players wanting more, especially when paired with an updated photography quest that explores her past. Even though the main quest struggles with focus at times, the update finishes strong with a stylish final boss fight and a surprising payoff for Hsin.
