What Is Next for the Chainsmoker Cat Anime?

It has been over a month since the first season of Chainsmoker Cat wrapped up, yet we are still waiting for word on a renewal. The show generated a lot of buzz online, but it struggled to break into the Netflix global top ten rankings during its run.

This leaves the future of the anime in a bit of a gray area. While the viewership numbers were not enough to guarantee an immediate green light, there is still plenty of hope. The show has successfully pushed new readers toward the original manga, leading to reports of stock shortages at bookstores.

Since there is still a significant amount of the story left to adapt, the production team has a strong incentive to keep the series going. We will keep an eye out for any official announcements regarding the return of this fan favorite.
