Ubisoft Milan Pitched Zelda Ganondorf Spin Off Before Rejection

Ubisoft Milan reportedly worked on an ambitious idea for a Legend of Zelda spin off game. Following the release of Mario and Rabbids Sparks of Hope, the studio pitched a fresh concept to Nintendo. The project carried the internal working title Goliath.

Initially, the team pitched a game featuring a completely new main character set inside the Zelda universe. Over time, the concept shifted to put the iconic villain Ganondorf in the spotlight. Fans would have experienced a unique story centered on the famous antagonist.

Nintendo ultimately rejected the pitch back in 2023. While the game never made it past the planning stages, hearing about these lost concepts always excites gamers who wonder what could have been.
