Tokyo Revengers Star Teases Darker Side For Mikey

Fans of Tokyo Revengers have plenty to look forward to in the next season of the hit anime. Yuu Hayashi, the talented Japanese voice actor behind Manjiro Sano, recently shared some fascinating insights about his character following the series panel at Anime Expo 2026. Hayashi discussed how Mikey will show a much more unsettling side as the story continues, warning that viewers might see the beloved leader embrace his dark impulses with less hesitation than before.

Portraying Mikey is no easy task for the voice actor. Hayashi explained that it becomes especially challenging when the dangerous, dark side of the character clashes directly with his fundamentally kind nature. Balancing these intense emotional extremes requires a lot of care, making Mikey one of the most complex figures in modern anime.

As anticipation builds for the next animated chapter, these comments give fans a great reason to stay excited. The emotional stakes will clearly be higher than ever, and we cannot wait to see how the studio brings these tense moments to life on screen.
