The Zelda 40th Anniversary Switch 2 is Back at Retailers

Great news for collectors who missed out on the initial release. The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Nintendo Switch 2 is back in stock at Smyths Toys. Priced at £429.99, this highly sought after console is once again available for pre order with both delivery and store collection options on the table.

The most exciting detail about this restock is the official confirmation of a user replaceable battery. This addition makes the console much more practical for long term gaming. Being able to swap the battery yourself is a rare feature that many fans have been requesting for years.

If you are planning to secure one, mark your calendars for November 5, 2026. This is the official date for the new batch of consoles. Given how quickly these units tend to sell out, you should check the retailer page soon if you want to add this piece of Zelda history to your collection.
