The Witcher 3 Remastered is Coming to Nintendo Switch 2

Big news for fans of Geralt of Rivia. CD Projekt Red recently shared technical details about The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt Remastered for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. It looks like the team is aiming to make this massive open world game run smoother and look sharper than the previous version.

When you are playing in handheld mode, the game will target 720p resolution. Once you dock your console to play on a television, that bumps up to 1080p. The performance target sits between 30 and 40 frames per second. If you have a screen that supports 120Hz, you can expect to hit that higher frame rate more consistently.

This is a great update for anyone who loves playing massive RPGs on a portable device. We still have a lot to learn about the release schedule, but these technical targets show that the game is shaping up nicely for the next hardware generation.
