Breeder Is A Chilling Horror Movie With A Terrifying Villain

The horror film Breeder is making waves for its incredibly twisted premise. Directed by Alex Goyette, the story follows Russell, a college student who thinks he has found a sponsor for his research. Instead, he finds himself trapped by a backwoods eugenicist named Patti, played brilliantly by Dot Marie Jones. While the movie has a strong visual style and creates a sense of constant unease, it does face some issues with its protagonist. The writing for Russell feels a bit inconsistent, leaving viewers to wonder why he does not try harder to escape his situation. Despite these narrative hiccups, the film succeeds thanks to the terrifying performance of Dot Marie Jones. She brings a complex and truly vile energy to the screen that anchors the entire experience.
