Ted Lasso Season 4 Episode 10 Review: Finding Strength in Change

Death touches the Richmond community in the latest episode as everyone mourns the loss of Mae. The scenes at the Crown and Anchor feel incredibly grounded and emotional, reminding us just how central Mae was to the team and its fans. Seeing the community gather to sing and share their grief provides a somber but warm farewell that stays true to the spirit of the show.

While the community comes together, Keeley Jones remains frustratingly absent once again. Her pregnancy keeps her away from the action, continuing a trend of keeping her separated from the very team she helped build. This choice feels like a missed opportunity, especially as her partner Roy Kent struggles with his own personal growth. Roy receives a major coaching offer from Chelsea, yet his path to this success feels unearned compared to his recent behavior and lack of communication throughout the season.

Thankfully, the return of the Diamond Dogs brings out the best in Roy. Seeing him finally reach out to Ted, Beard, Higgins, and Nathan for advice marks a turning point for him. Alice Chilton also shines during these moments, proving her character arc is one of the most rewarding parts of the season. She has grown from a defensive newcomer into a true leader who understands the value of letting others contribute.

As the finale approaches, Ted faces his own challenge regarding his son Henry. Their conversation about Ted’s father brings a new layer of honesty to their relationship. The episode leaves us with a clear message that change requires showing up, even when things feel difficult. Whether it involves coaching, parenting, or grief, staying present is the most important step for the characters as they move toward the future.
