Sekiro: No Defeat Anime Series Arrives on Crunchyroll in 2027

Get ready for more intense shinobi action. Crunchyroll officially announced that the anime project Sekiro: No Defeat will stream as a full series starting in January 2027. This adaptation is produced by KADOKAWA, Qzil.la, and ARCH and will include brand new content not seen in the theatrical version currently playing in Japan.

The series will consist of eight episodes and stream worldwide, though the release excludes Japan, China, Korea, Russia, and Belarus. The story follows the journey of the shinobi Sekiro and his quest to protect the Divine Heir, Kuro, during the chaotic Sengoku period of Japanese history.

The project features an impressive staff led by director Kenichi Kutsuna and screenwriter Takuya Satou. Fans can look forward to performances by Daisuke Namikawa as Wolf, Miyuki Satou as Kuro, and Kenjiro Tsuda as Genichiro Ashina.
