Ranking Every Marvel Horror Movie From Blade to the MCU
We look back at Marvel's spooky side by ranking every horror themed movie released to date.
manhwa.newsMarvel has a long history of horror comics, but bringing those chilling tales to the big screen has been a bumpy road. Ever since the first major comic adaptations arrived in the late nineties, the results have been all over the map. Some films lean hard into the supernatural, while others just borrow the aesthetic, creating a messy but interesting legacy for fans of the macabre.
At the bottom of the list, we find projects like Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance and Morbius. These films struggled with poor scripts and visual effects that failed to capture the cool factor of the source material. Blade: Trinity also lands near the bottom, mostly remembered for the intense behind the scenes drama that overshadowed the actual story on screen. It is a shame, considering the franchise had such a strong start.
Even the mid tier entries like the original Ghost Rider and the Blade: House of Chthon pilot show how hard it is to get the tone right. While they have moments of fun or great acting, they often miss the mark on delivering a truly cohesive experience. Whether it is a stiff performance or a story that loses its way, these movies remind us that mixing superheroes with horror requires a very delicate touch.
As we look ahead, the hope remains that Marvel will find a better balance for its darker characters. While some of these older titles are better left in the past, they serve as a roadmap for what works and what definitely does not. We will keep waiting for that perfect horror adaptation that finally does justice to the spooky side of the comics.
