Pokémon Heads to Disney+ with New Aardman Series

Big news for fans of the franchise. The Pokémon Company International just struck a global distribution deal with Disney+ that is set to bring a huge wave of content to the platform. This partnership covers both classic episodes that we all grew up with and brand new projects starting in the near future.

The standout announcement is an upcoming stop motion series called Pokémon Tales: The Misadventures of Sirfetch’d & Pichu. Created in collaboration with the famous studio Aardman, this show takes us straight to the Galar region. We will get to follow Sirfetch’d and Pichu as they try their best to protect other Pokémon in the area.

While the stories might not always go exactly as planned for these two partners, it is an exciting new direction for the brand. We can look forward to seeing this stop motion project arrive globally in 2027. Keep an eye out for more updates on which classic seasons will be joining the library soon.
