Opera Manga Magazine Says Goodbye to Print After 100 Issues

Change is coming for fans of Opera manga magazine. Akaneshinsha has confirmed that their long running publication will stop printing physical copies after the release of issue 100 on October 30, 2026. This final print edition is set to be a major celebration of the magazine's history.

To mark this historic moment, 40 former creators are returning to contribute new content. These artists will revisit their iconic characters and share their thoughts on where those stories might go next. Fans can also look forward to a special exhibition in Tokyo starting on December 26, 2026, which highlights the magazine's legacy.

While the physical copies are going away, the magazine is not disappearing. The editorial team announced that they are moving to a digital platform. The first digital issue is scheduled to arrive in the spring of 2027, ensuring the series continues for its dedicated readers.
