One Piece Anime Takes a Break Until 2027

Fans of the Straw Hat crew are in for a long wait. The One Piece anime finished its latest broadcast on Fuji TV this past Sunday, and we now know that the show is moving into a scheduled hiatus. Production will not return for new episodes until 2027.

This break marks a significant shift for the long running series. While the anime goes on hold, the time will be used to improve the overall production quality of the upcoming episodes. It gives the animation team the space they need to tackle the intense action waiting for us in the future.

To fill the gap on Fuji TV, the network plans to air the Dragon Ball Super: Beerus arc in the coming year. We are sad to see Luffy and his friends go off the air for a while, but 2027 is already shaping up to be a huge year for the series.
