NewJeans Fans Upset Over ADOR Paywalling Hanni's Birthday Playlist

NewJeans fans are currently frustrated with ADOR after the label handled Hanni's birthday celebration differently this year. Hanni turned 22 on October 6, and while the company continued the tradition of releasing a special birthday playlist, there was a major catch. Unlike previous years where these playlists were free for everyone to enjoy, this new collection is locked behind a paid Weverse subscription.

This decision has caused a lot of friction within the fandom. Many followers feel that locking birthday content behind a paywall goes against the spirit of celebrating an idol. Since past playlists were always accessible, the sudden change feels restrictive to those who have supported the group since the beginning.

It remains to be seen if ADOR will address the backlash or change how they handle similar celebrations in the future. For now, the move has sparked a wider conversation about how companies manage exclusive content and their relationship with the fanbase.
