New Study Shows Teens Are Watching More Anime Than Ever
A fresh report confirms that anime is the top choice for the vast majority of teen viewers.
manhwa.newsA new study commissioned by Crunchyroll reveals that anime is becoming a huge part of teenage media habits. Among fans aged 13 to 17, about 82 percent say that anime makes up at least half of the content they watch on a regular basis.
These findings come from the Global State of Anime Fandom 2026 report, which was handled by the National Research Group. While the study focuses specifically on existing fans, it highlights just how deep the passion for the medium runs within that younger age group.
Beyond just watching their favorite classics, the data shows that 46 percent of these fans prefer experimental stories that push boundaries. This suggests that the next generation of viewers is eager to see unique and creative projects moving forward.
