Magic: The Gathering Reveals Massive 2027 Lineup and New Sets

Big updates are coming to the Multiverse. Wizards of the Coast used their time at MagicCon Amsterdam to detail the end of the current story arc with Reality Fracture, which hits shelves on October 2, 2026. This conclusion brings back fan favorite characters like Chandra and Garruk in fresh, twisted forms as Jace Beleren attempts to reshape reality. Fans can look forward to new Secret Lair bundles featuring card art pulled directly from Jace's visions.

The excitement continues into 2027 with a brand new lineup of sets. Nauctis: The Sunken Realm kicks things off on February 5, 2027, taking players deep underwater to face aquatic deities and creatures. This will be followed by the chaotic crossover Kamigawa: Titanbreach on June 4, where monsters from the plane of Ikoria crash into the neon streets of Towashi. Finally, Zhalfir arrives on October 1, 2027, focusing on afrofantasy themes and the return of Teferi.

Beyond the sets, a new Mystery Booster Commander Edition is planned for late 2026 to spice up the popular Commander format. If you prefer playing in person, the team also announced the 2027 event schedule. The MagicCon tour is hitting Detroit, Las Vegas, Amsterdam, and for the first time, Tokyo.
