GTA 6 Weather System Tracks Real Storms Across Leonida
Rockstar Games reveals that the weather in Grand Theft Auto 6 will track actual storms across the map instead of changing everywhere at once.
manhwa.newsRockstar Games is changing how weather works in the upcoming Grand Theft Auto 6. According to Rockstar Vice President of Art for Lighting and Rendering Owen Shepherd, the studio completely reworked the technology behind clouds, rainfall, and storms to make the region of Leonida feel much more alive.
Instead of weather happening uniformly across the entire map, different areas will experience their own unique conditions. Storms will actually move and track across the region, meaning players might see clear skies in one spot while a heavy downpour hits just down the road.
This new approach is a big step forward for open world design and immersion. Fans are already excited to see how these dynamic skies affect gameplay and exploration when the game finally launches.
