Gears of War E Day Hits $37 Million Revenue Milestone

Gears of War E Day is making waves with some interesting financial news. Recent data shows the title brought in about $37 million in revenue. This is a surprising figure considering it moved roughly 230,000 copies between Steam and Xbox platforms.

Most of these sales came from Steam, which accounted for 168,000 units. The remaining 62,000 units came from Xbox and PC combined. Even with these sales numbers, the Xbox side managed to generate about $26 million in revenue.

This shows that traditional physical and digital sales figures do not show the full picture of how a game performs today. For fans of the franchise, this indicates that the series still holds plenty of value for Microsoft as they continue to support their big shooters.
