Funcom Confirms Dune: Awakening Is Their Main Priority

Exciting times are ahead for fans waiting on Dune: Awakening. Funcom has officially confirmed that the vast majority of their staff is staying dedicated to this project for the foreseeable future. With the survival RPG preparing for its console launch and future content updates, the studio is pouring all its energy into making sure the experience is solid.

Chief Creative Officer Joel Bylos recently shared that the company is not starting any other major game projects right now. While they continue to support Conan Exiles with a smaller team, the primary development workforce is locked in on the Dune universe. This ensures the game remains the top priority as it grows.

A few members of the studio are currently brainstorming ideas for what might come next once their current work is finished. For now, however, players can expect the developer to keep their full attention on the desert world of Arrakis.
