Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Season 2 Will Feature Multiple Stories

Fans of the hit anime series have plenty to look forward to as production continues. Writer and producer Bartosz Sztybor recently shared that the upcoming season is moving away from the single lead protagonist style seen in the first outing. Instead of focusing on one central relationship, the new story will follow several characters simultaneously.

The narrative will track six to eight major figures, each working toward their own goals within the dangerous landscape of Night City. Sztybor compared this new structure to the classic movie Pulp Fiction, where individual paths eventually cross in unexpected ways. This shift promises a wider look at the city and the many people struggling to survive in it.

This change in tone suggests a more complex story that captures the sprawling nature of the Cyberpunk universe. While the first season gave us a very personal and emotional journey, this fresh approach should provide plenty of excitement for viewers who want to see more of how the city functions for different types of mercenaries.
