Christopher Judge Explains Why He Isn't Playing Live Action Kratos

Fans of the God of War series have been wondering if Christopher Judge would bring his version of Kratos to the upcoming Prime Video adaptation. Judge recently shared that while he considered the role, he ultimately decided to step away from the opportunity.

During a recent appearance at Fan Expo, the actor explained that the physical demands of a leading television role were the main factor in his choice. He noted that the grueling schedules, which often involve 16 to 18 hour work days, made the prospect of playing the character in live action less appealing.

Judge has provided the voice and motion capture for Kratos since the 2018 reboot and its sequel, Ragnarök. While he will not be appearing on screen in the series, his influence on the character remains a huge part of the gaming franchise.
