Chiikawa and Precure Movies Shift Rankings in Japan

It has been an interesting week for anime films at the Japanese box office. The Chiikawa movie has moved down to the number four spot on the charts. Fans of the cute and chaotic series are still showing up in theaters, keeping it firmly in the top tier of current releases.

Following closely behind is the Star Detective Precure movie, which now sits at number five. This long running magical girl franchise continues to draw families and dedicated collectors to cinema screens across the country.

In a bit of a surprise comeback, Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie: Walpurgisnacht: Rising has reappeared in the top ten list. It currently holds the number seven position, proving that interest in the dark magical girl series remains strong. We will keep an eye on these titles to see how their theater runs progress in the coming weeks.
