Loran is from the Mayhem district of the moon and was born into the lower class known as the canal people. After graduating from middle school, at age 15, he descended to the North Ameria continent on earth with [Fran](https://anilist.co/character/14088) and [Keith](https://anilist.co/character/17360) as an advance scout for the return mission, piloting the second of six FLAT units. After nearly drowning in a river, he was saved by the Heim family sisters, [Kihel](https://anilist.co/character/2223) and [Sochie](https://anilist.co/character/2221), and hired as a servant. He admires both the Queen of the MOON, [Dianna](https://anilist.co/character/2224), and the identical [Kihel](https://anilist.co/character/2223). With a gentle personality that dislikes fighting, he hoped for a peaceful return for the Moonrace. On the night of his coming-of-age ceremony at Arc Mountain, he ends up piloting the Turn A, which emerged from the White Doll stone statue. Through Guin's scheming, he is forced to participate in unwanted battles as the female pilot, Laura Rolla.
