Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 is Coming to Switch 2

Call of Duty is making a major comeback to Nintendo hardware after ten years away. Developers from Infinity Ward and Digital Legends recently shared that the upcoming Modern Warfare 4 will arrive on the Switch 2. The team promises that this version does not require the major visual or performance cuts that fans usually expect from handheld ports.

During a presentation at Gamescom, the developers explained how they handled the transition to new hardware. Technical director Jack Hoppus and production director Beatriz Gonzalez stated that the game runs quite similarly to how it performs on PlayStation and Xbox consoles. This is a big step for the franchise as it looks to reach a wider audience on portable systems.

One of the most exciting details is that the game will include full cross platform multiplayer functionality.
