The filmmaker shared his future plans while in Italy to receive the Stella della Mole Award at the Museo Nazionale del Cinema. Fans of his early work will be excited to hear he is leaning into the dark themes found in his previous hits like Memories of Murder and The Host.
Bong has built an incredible career blending suspense and social commentary, so a return to these classic genres is a huge deal for his audience. We cannot wait to see what kind of unsettling and brilliant stories he develops next once Ally is wrapped up.
