Blue Box Season 2 Starts With A Sweet And Tense First Date

Blue Box is officially back. The season two premiere, titled Déjà Vu, picks up right where we left off with Taiki and Chinatsu planning a day out together. They hit a sporting goods store and a cafe, creating those awkward but adorable moments that make their relationship feel so real. It is great to see the series maintain that balance between the excitement of young love and the messy, funny realities of dating.

Taiki is still head over heels for Chinatsu, and the animation does a fantastic job of showing how he views her. Even when she is acting silly, he sees her as someone truly special. However, their peaceful date gets interrupted by Kazuma Matsuoka, an outgoing classmate who inserts himself into their plans. His attempts to be a third wheel provide plenty of comedy and showcase Taiki’s endearing struggle to hold his own.

Beyond the romance, the episode does a great job of reminding us why we fell in love with these characters in the first place. Whether they are choosing tacky clothes or just chatting, the chemistry between them feels stronger than ever. Chinatsu even chooses to spend more time with Taiki instead of practicing, which shows just how much he has come to mean to her.

Just as the episode wraps up, things take a mysterious turn. A new character appears who seems to have a complicated history with Chinatsu, leaving us with plenty of questions. With the tone set and a new mystery introduced, season two is off to a great start. You can catch the new episode streaming right now on Netflix.
