8.4manhwa.newsAttack on Titan is legendary for its intense action and high production quality, but getting the early seasons made was a difficult process. Animation producer Tetsuya Nakatake recently opened up about the behind the scenes struggles while creating the second season of the series.
Nakatake shared that the team worked hard to reorganize their production structure for the second season. This effort successfully created a more stable environment for the animation staff, which prevented some of the hectic rushes seen in other projects.
However, this stability came with a downside. Nakatake admitted that the studio spent too much money to achieve these results. It is a rare look into the heavy financial pressure that goes into making a hit anime series look as good as it does.
