Arknights: Endfield 1.4 Part 2 is a Mixed Bag of Hits and Misses
The latest Arknights: Endfield update brings a new idol character and fresh content, even if the story does not quite hit the right notes.
manhwa.newsArknights: Endfield 1.4 Part 2 has arrived, bringing a change of pace from the usual high stakes of the main story. In this update, The Endministrator heads to Valley Four just as a rising star idol named Liino holds a concert. When the idol goes missing, you are tasked with setting up a secret performance. While the shift toward a lighter side story is a welcome idea, the execution feels a bit uneven.
The main issue is Liino herself. Her personality, which relies heavily on talking about herself in the third person, comes off as grating rather than charming. The writing tries to make her sweet, but her constant pouting and the cult like behavior of her fans make the narrative segments difficult to enjoy. However, the update does include some bright spots, such as a fun stealth sequence and a genuinely impressive cinematic during the final concert performance.
Gameplay wise, Liino is a much stronger addition. She serves as a support character who offers healing and buffs through an easy to manage area of effect skill. Because she handles her own positioning and functions as a fire and forget unit, she is a great fit for complex team compositions. Her ability to provide electric damage also makes her a fantastic partner for Fangyi teams.
Beyond the character update, players can check out the new Rooted Realm activity. This mode blends light exploration with combat encounters that reward smart play and careful planning. While the story might be the weakest we have seen in the game so far, the solid new mechanics and side content ensure this update is still worth your time.
