World of Warcraft: Forever Announced at BlizzCon 2026

BlizzCon 2026 is officially underway, and the biggest news coming out of Anaheim is the reveal of World of Warcraft: Forever. This new project is a massive re imagining of the original game experience, designed to give fans plenty of fresh content while keeping the classic, nostalgic feel intact. Players can look forward to new zones, a unique race called the Skyborne, and new class combinations like Undead Paladins.

The developers are focused on keeping the community social. They want to ensure that as players explore iconic areas, they still feel the need to talk and party up with others to survive. To help with this, they are adding a new camping system where players can relax and chat while gaining buffs. They are also introducing an opt in transmog system, so you can decide for yourself if you want to see other people's custom outfits or stick to their actual gear.

There is a lot of new content to get excited about, including raids like the twenty person Hyjal Summit and the ten person Barrow Deeps. Players will also get to explore brand new locations like Zephras Isle and Riverglades, which aim to expand on the deep lore of the series.
