Tides of Annihilation Demo Shows Off Fast Action and Bosses

Action fans got their first hands on look at Tides of Annihilation through a playable demo at Gamescom. Developed by Eclipse Glow Games, this ambitious project puts players in control of Gwendolyn. She travels across a shattered version of modern London after a strange invasion from The Otherworld, trying to rescue her family and fix the broken state of reality.

The story puts a fresh twist on classic Arthurian legends by introducing more than a dozen Knights of the Round Table. These legendary allies function a lot like summoned spirits, assisting in battle with charged attacks, defensive buffs, and combo setups. Players must carefully balance their weapon loadouts alongside their chosen knights to handle tough encounters.

The demo really shined during its massive boss encounters against towering Colossal Knights. Fights feature distinct phases that demand quick reactions, using aerial combos, dodges, and parries signaled by clear visual cues. While the heavy lore and complex mechanics can feel a bit crowded at the start, the combat flow and sharp visual style make this title one to watch.
