The Duskbloods is a new multiplayer action title coming to the Switch 2 that focuses on chaotic PvPvE battles. During the recent network test, players participated in rounds where eight people fought to survive. While the game has a steep learning curve, it features surprisingly helpful tutorials that guide you through the complicated mechanics without holding your hand too much.

The gameplay feels faster and more agile than typical titles from the studio. Characters can jump multiple times in midair and perform quick dodges, making movement feel fluid and frantic. You collect resources called Virtue by fighting enemies or defending ritual sites, and you can upgrade your abilities and passives as the match progresses. Moments like transforming into a dinosaur to maul opponents make for some very satisfying combat highlights.

However, the experience is not without its issues. The map design can feel busy and difficult to read, often leaving players wandering aimlessly when they should be focusing on objectives. Some encounters also felt repetitive during the test, with players facing the same bosses in the same locations too often.

Despite these frustrations, the core loop is genuinely fun and captures a unique brand of high energy combat. Whether the final release avoids burnout by adding enough variety in its enemy and boss placement remains the big question. For now, the game shows real promise for fans who want a mix of speed, strategy, and cinematic brawls.
