Shaman King Creator Designs New Mecha Samurai Anime

Fans of Shaman King creator Hiroyuki Takei have something exciting to look forward to. A fresh anime project is currently in the works, featuring character designs by the legendary artist. The series centers on a unique mix of samurai action and mechanical robots.

This project comes from a collaboration between TV Tokyo and the animation studio Plott. The production team plans to start things off by releasing a series of vertical short episodes this November. These shorts will serve as a quick introduction to the high energy world of the series.

Following the debut of these shorts, the main episodes are scheduled to premiere next spring. This project looks like a fun departure for fans who love Takei's iconic art style. We will be keeping a close watch as more details about the story and the full release schedule become available.
