Review: The Rainmaker Season 2 Starts Strong With New Episodes
The Rainmaker returns for its second season, proving it has plenty of fresh stories to tell after finishing the original book adaptation.
manhwa.newsFans of legal dramas can rejoice because The Rainmaker is officially back on television. Season 2 starts off strong with the first two episodes, following up on rookie attorney Rudy Baylor after his massive courtroom win against Leo Drummond. Even though the first season covered the entire original novel by John Grisham, the creative team has plenty of fresh ideas to keep the momentum going.
In the new episodes, Rudy takes on smaller cases while dealing with a young boy named Victor who needs help from inside a juvenile detention facility. At the same time, Rudy gets caught up with new legal troubles involving his boss Bruiser and her ex husband. Meanwhile, Sarah Plankmore tries to rebuild her career after losing the big case in season one, leading to a tense professional rematch against Rudy in court.
One of the biggest improvements in these new episodes is how the show expands beyond a single main plot. Characters like Deck Shifflet also get a chance to shine, moving past simple comic relief to become a vital part of the legal team. With strong performances from Milo Callaghan, Lana Parrilla, and P.J. Byrne, the show is shaping up to be an exciting ride for fans.
You can catch new episodes of The Rainmaker airing on Friday nights on USA Network. It is a great time to jump back in and see how these characters handle their brand new challenges.
