Palworld 1.0 Steam Players Smashed Studio Expectations

Hey everyone, we have some fascinating updates on Palworld straight from Gamescom. Pocketpair communications and publishing lead John Buckley recently shared that the studio originally expected around 200,000 concurrent players for the 1.0 release. They would have considered that number a massive success.

Instead, the game shot up to about 960,000 concurrent players on Steam alone. Buckley called the massive response very life changing for the team. Before the big launch, the game was sitting at roughly 45,000 players, making the sudden player jump a huge surprise for everyone involved.

This incredible resurgence shows just how much fans love the survival crafting experience. It is a huge win for Pocketpair as they continue supporting the game. We cannot wait to see what the developers plan next for the community.
