Onimusha: Way of the Sword Hits Huge Sales Milestone

It is a great time to be a fan of classic action games. According to a recent financial report from Capcom, the latest entry, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, has already moved 1.78 million copies. This strong performance shows that players have been eager for the series to return after a long break.

With these latest numbers, the entire Onimusha franchise has officially crossed the 11 million unit mark. This is a big deal considering the title is the first fresh release in the series in over twenty years. Fans are clearly happy to see this dark fantasy world return.

The game features Miyamoto Musashi and captures the intense style that made the original games so popular. Capcom seems pleased with these results, which prove that there is still a massive audience for high quality sword fighting games. We cannot wait to see what the studio decides to do with the series next.
