Nobody Wants This Season 3 Is A Major Disappointment
The third season of the hit Netflix series loses its spark as the central relationship becomes repetitive and grating.
manhwa.newsFans of the romantic comedy Nobody Wants This might want to manage their expectations before tuning into the third season. While the show started off as a fun look at the challenges of an interfaith relationship, this latest installment feels like a total mess. The chemistry between Noah and Joanne has vanished, replaced by constant, aggressive arguments that feel forced rather than authentic.
The writing has turned the main characters into caricatures. Noah has been reduced to a passive partner, while Joanne spends almost every scene in a petty conflict with someone new. Instead of having honest conversations, the couple relies on tired miscommunications that make it hard to root for their future. It is exhausting to watch, especially when the show misses so many chances to dig into the actual complications of their situation.
While the supporting cast, including Morgan and Sasha, initially shows promise, their storylines eventually fizzle out just like the main plot. Esther stands out as the most well written character this time around, but the inclusion of new faces like Sarah Silverman cannot save the season from its repetitive nature. It is a shame to see such a strong concept fall so far from its potential.
If you were hoping for a fresh take on this couple, this season will likely leave you frustrated. The series is currently streaming on Netflix for those who still want to see the drama for themselves.
