NBA 2K27 Puts the WNBA Center Stage with Big Upgrades
The WNBA gets a massive boost in NBA 2K27 with deeper franchise modes, co ed city play, and advanced progression systems.
manhwa.newsBasketball fans have a lot to get excited about as NBA 2K27 officially prepares to launch. This year, the development team is putting a major focus on the WNBA. With Caitlin Clark headlining the Deluxe Edition cover, it is clear that 2K Sports is committed to giving women athletes the same depth and respect as their male counterparts.
The W mode is seeing some of its biggest changes yet, including a new Build as You Go progression system. Players can now adjust their attributes and build their court identity with more flexibility. The mode also adds new team and teammate badges to reward chemistry, plus a deeper PlayVision system that lets you take control of the offense as you earn the trust of your coaching staff.
Outside of the court, the MyWNBA franchise mode now mirrors the features found in MyNBA. This includes complex four team trades and a more detailed front office experience. Perhaps most exciting is the inclusion of co ed play in The City, which finally allows male and female MyPLAYERs to compete together in open world pick up games and tournaments.
Pre orders for the game are open now for PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC. Those who pick up the Deluxe Edition can jump in early starting August 28, 2026, with the worldwide release following on September 4.
