Lilly Wachowski Joins Horror Comedy Film Making a Bridesmaid

Lilly Wachowski is officially joining the team behind the upcoming film Making a Bridesmaid. The Matrix co creator will serve as an executive producer for the project through her production company, Anarchists United. This news comes just as the film prepares to hit the market for worldwide sales at the American Film Market.

Written and directed by Molly Ratermann, the movie centers on a murder bachelorette party. It blends horror, dark comedy, and satire to take a hard look at the intense social pressure surrounding weddings and friendships. The story is heavily influenced by the visual style of classic films from the 1980s.

Fans of Wachowski will be interested to see how she shapes this mix of genre thrills and biting social commentary. With the production wrapped, the film is now heading to international distributors, which means we should hear more about a public release date soon.
