It Ends follows four friends who find themselves trapped on a road that never seems to finish. As they realize they are stuck in a cycle of repetition, the group dynamic begins to fray. The film focuses on the distinct personalities of James, Day, Fisher, and Tyler as they try to process their isolation and the growing terror of their situation.

One of the bright spots is the chemistry between the four leads. Their performances feel natural, and their differing reactions to the nightmare help ground the film. You can really feel their panic as the reality of their situation sets in, and the dialogue captures how people might actually behave when faced with the impossible.

However, the movie runs into trouble with its pacing. While it aims for an atmospheric, slow burn experience rather than relying on jump scares or gore, it feels far too long for the story it tells. Because there is very little action or visual variety, the constant conversation starts to feel repetitive rather than tense.

Ultimately, while the movie handles themes of adulthood and existential fear, it would have been more effective as a short film. It is a mood piece that struggles to sustain interest for a full feature runtime.
