Heroes of the Storm Returns With New Hero Xal’atath

Big news for fans of the Nexus. Blizzard is finally adding a brand new hero to Heroes of the Storm, ending a four year content drought. Xal’atath, the major antagonist from World of Warcraft: Midnight, is bringing her void powers to the game. It is a thrilling surprise for a title many thought was left behind.

Xal’atath plays as a mid range assassin with a kit focused on crowd control and lane dominance. Her abilities allow her to mark targets for extra damage, teleport quickly to dodge incoming threats, and summon void minions to overwhelm the enemy. She even starts with a special quest that lets her grow stronger as the match progresses, making her a scary threat by the late game.

Players can jump into the Public Test Realm starting September 14th to try her out early. The official release for Xal’atath arrives on September 28th. This update might be just what the game needs to bring players back to the battlefield.
