Fable Director Gladly Dodges GTA 6 Release Window

Exciting news is coming out regarding the upcoming Fable game. Director Ralph Fulton recently shared that the team at Playground Games made a strategic choice to shift their release window. While the team was initially aiming for a launch in October 2026, they have officially moved the date to February 23, 2027.

Fulton admitted that the team is quite relieved to avoid the high traffic surrounding the release of Grand Theft Auto 6. By moving the date, the team believes they have found a better spot for the game to stand on its own feet. This decision gives the developers extra time to polish the experience before players finally get their hands on it.

Even with the new date, Fable will still face some stiff competition. The game is now set to arrive alongside major titles like God of War Laufey and Persona 4 Revival. Fans are looking forward to seeing how Fable holds its own against these heavy hitters in early 2027.
